From London tap chlorine. Well I normally would never drink it.

I notice that bottled water is slight different. I mean in the end it's about the impurities in it and the temperature it at.

Takes all the crap out of tap water and costs less than bottles.

I find it bitter, and don't tend to drink it unless I am ill (or hungover).

If we are talking tap you can find a difference in taste depending where you live and people usually like the taste of the water of their area because their used to it, the taste is of nothing it's water but it can be slightly sweet or salty the Chlorine gives it something too one would imagine.
Most people drink bottled water, water from the tap is going out of fashion 80% of my family drink bottled, I must be a smelly philistine.

Ideally at 20 degrees water should not have a 'flavour' but we disinfect our water hence there is always hint of chlorine,drink it below 10 degrees from the fridge and it should be refreshing with no flavour. Bottled water contains additives in order for the water no to go green in the shops, dont bother with it, fill from your tap, its a thousand times cheaper aswell.
